In the beginning there was a blank page. Everything started when the shape of the page changed.

New Universe was created. Find out – can this shape become a space?

Imagine that you are the first human beings on Mars. You need to have a lot of new spaces-for living, working and entertainment. Look at the space you accidentally created, explore it and complete the scheme attached.

 

What does your space looks like?

Encircle the adjectives which define the space you created. You can name your own adjectives if you can’t find them in the scheme.

What function your space could have?

Guided by adjectives define the function of your space.

Is it an open and transparent library, or a small and funny dormitory?

Maybe the function you need is not in the scheme-add it or create it by combining several functions!

When you have discovered the function of your space, explore it more closely-what does your space need to become a real building? Maybe you need to divide it in smaller spaces or you need stairs or telescope? Use scissors, tape, stapler to develop your space! You can use another blank page for additional details.

Arrange your buildings together and explore space in between. Use a light source to explore exterior and interior space. More buildings in your Planets’ settlement you will have, more new spaces you will explore. Congratulations! You have become a space explorer!

The goal of this workshop is to acknowledge an important part of architectural language – the space.

The tasks are:

1. to explore the space in an accidentally created shape

2. to describe the space and its characteristic features using exact words

3. to find the function which corresponds to the characteristic features

4. to develop the space with additional details

5. to explore the interactions of different interior and exterior spaces

6. to explore the changes of the space created by shadows and lights

Important!  In the beginning the participants do not know that they will create the first settlement on Mars!

El Espacio

Al principio solo existía una página en blanco. Todo comenzó cuando la forma de la página cambió.

Un nuevo universo fue creado. Adivina: ¿podría esta forma convertirse en un espacio?

Imagina que eres el primer ser humano en Marte. Y que necesitas tener muchos espacios nuevos para vivir, trabajar y divertirte. Ahora, mira el espacio que creaste accidentalmente, explóralo y completa el esquema adjunto.

¿Cómo se ve tu espacio?

Marca los adjetivos que definen el espacio que creaste. Puedes añadir tus propios adjetivos si es que no los encuentras en el esquema.

¿Qué función podría tener tu espacio?

Guiados por los adjetivos que has elegido, define la función de tu espacio.

¿Es una biblioteca abierta y transparente, o un dormitorio pequeño y divertido?

Tal vez la función que necesitas no esté en el esquema: ¡añádela o créela combinando varias funciones!

Cuando hayas descubierto la función de tu espacio, explóralo más de cerca: ¿qué necesita tu espacio para convertirse en un edificio real? ¿Quizás necesites dividirlo en espacios más pequeños o quizás necesitas unas escaleras o un telescopio? Usa tijeras, cinta adhesiva y grapadora para desarrollar tu espacio. También puedes usar otra página en blanco para añadir detalles.

Ahora puedes juntar todos los edificios que habéis creado para explorar el espacio intermedio. Utiliza una fuente de luz para explorar el espacio exterior e interior. Cuantos más edificios tengáis en el asentamiento de tu planeta, tendrás más espacios nuevos que explorar. ¡Felicidades! ¡Te has convertido en un explorador espacial!

El objetivo de este taller es reconocer una parte muy importante del lenguaje arquitectónico: el espacio.

Las actividades planteadas son:

1. explorar el espacio en una forma creada accidentalmente

2. describir el espacio y sus características con palabras exactas

3. encontrar la función que corresponde a sus características

4. desarrollar el espacio con detalles adicionales

5. explorar las interacciones entre los espacios interiores y exteriores

6. explorar los cambios del espacio creados por las luces y las sombras

¡Importante! ¡Inicialmente los participantes no saben que crearán el primer asentamiento en Marte!

Espazioa

Hasieran, orri zuri bat besterik ez zegoen. Orriaren forma aldatu zenean hasi zen guztia.

Unibertso berri bat sortu zen. Asmatu: Bihur al daiteke forma hori espazio bat?

Imajinatu Martera joaten den lehenengo gizakia zarela. Eta espazio berri asko behar dituzula bizitzeko, lan egiteko eta dibertitzeko. Orain, begiratu nahi gabe sortu zenuen espazioari, esploratu eta osatu erantsitako eskema.

Zer itxura du zure espazioak?

Markatu sortu duzun espazioa definitzen duten adjektiboak. Zuk nahi duzun adjektiboak ere erantsi ditzakezu, baldin eta ez badituzu eskeman aurkitzen.

Zer funtzio bete dezake zure espazioak?

Hautaturiko adjektiboek gidatuta, definitu zure espazioaren funtzioa.

Liburutegi ireki eta garden bat da, ala logela txiki eta dibertigarri bat?

Agian behar duzun funtzioa ez dago eskeman: erantsi edo sor ezazu hainbat funtzio konbinatuta!

Zure espazioaren funtzioa zein den badakizunean, esploratu hurbilagotik: zer behar du zure espazioak egiazko eraikin bilakatzeko? Agian espazio txikiagotan banatu behar duzu, edo agian eskailera batzuk edo teleskopio bat behar dituzu? Erabili guraizeak, zinta itsasgarria eta grapagailua zure espazioa garatzeko. Beste orri zuri bat ere erabil dezakezu xehetasunak eransteko.

Orain, sortu dituzuen eraikin guztiak elkar ditzakezu, tarteko espazioa esploratzeko. Erabili argi iturri bat barneko eta kanpoko espazioak esploratzeko. Zenbat eta eraikin gehiago izan zure planetan, orduan eta espazio berri gehiago edukiko dituzu arakatzeko. Zorionak! Espazioko esploratzaile bihurtu zara!

Tailer honen helburua arkitekturaren lengoaiaren zati oso garrantzitsu bat ezagutzea da: espazioa.

Honako hauek dira planteatutako jarduerak:

1. Nahi gabe sorturiko espazioa esploratzea.

2. Espazioa eta bere ezaugarriak hitz zehatzekin deskribatzea.

3. Ezaugarriei dagokien funtzioa aurkitzea.

4. Espazioa garatzea, xehetasunak erantsita.

5. Barneko eta kanpoko espazioen arteko elkarreraginak arakatzea.

6. Argiek eta itzalek sorturiko espazioko aldaketak arakatzea.
