Is man the only one that knows how to build a house to live in?

Have you ever asked yourself that question?

Who taught bees how to make their super-resitant panels with a perfect pattern of hexagonal cells? In fact, so inspiring to many arquitects!

Animal are expert builders that give us an inifinite number of models to imitate.

In this exercise we pay tribute to that natural arquitecture made by the insects.

The idea is to copy their dwelling strategies and give them lodging in our homes in an “insect house”.

We´ll need five A4 sheets of paper, one will be the external cover, and the others, whole or divided into halves, thirds and quarters, will make up the interior compartments.

In order to build your Insect House, we´ll also need a pair of scissors, some glue, colour markers, hole puncher and a piece of string to hang it.

Once your “insect house” is ready, you´ll have to look for a suitable little place for it, somewhere out of the way, without much wind, where neither rain nor sunshine can get to it. So that some insect can find, in that place, its own dream home.

Casa de Insectos

Es solamente el hombre el único que sabe construir una casa donde vivir?

Te lo has preguntado alguna vez?

Quién les enseñó a las abejas hacer sus panales súper resistentes con perfecta trama de celdillas hexagonales? Por cierto tan inspiradoras para muchos arquitectos!

Los animales son expertos constructores que nos brindan infinidad de modelos a imitar.

En este ejercicio rendimos homenaje a esa arquitectura natural hecha por los insectos.

La idea es copiar sus estrategias de vivienda y brindarles alojamiento en nuestros hogares.

Necesitaremos cinco hojas A4, una será la cubierta externa y las otras, enteras o divididas en mitades, tercios y cuartos, van a configurar los compartimentos interiores.

Para poder construirla necesitamos además una tijera, pegamento, fibras de colores, un sacabocado e hilo para colgarlo.

Una vez terminada tu Casa de Insectos, habrá que buscar un lugarcito apartado, sin mucho viento y al que no le dé la lluvia ni el sol, para que algún insecto encuentre allí su hogar deseado.

Gizakia al da bere etxea eraikitzen dakien izaki bakarra?

Inoiz egin diozu galdera hori zeure buruari?

Nork erakutsi zien erleei beren abaraska sendoak eraikitzen gelatxo hexagonalez osatutako bilbe perfektu horrekin? Arkitekto askorentzat horren inspiratzailea den egitura, bide batez esateko!

Animaliak eraikitzaile bikainak dira, eta ezin konta ahala eredu eskaintzen dizkigute imitatzeko.

Ariketa honetan, gorazarre egin nahi diogu intsektuek sortutako arkitektura naturalari.

Asmoa da animalia horiek beren etxeak egiteko dituzten estrategiak kopiatzea, eta haiei bizitoki bat ematea gure etxeetan.

Bost orri A4 beharko ditugu: orri batekin kanpoko estalkia egingo dugu, eta beste lauek barne konpartimentuak eratuko dituzte, osorik edo erdietan, herenetan eta laurdenetan zatiturik.

Paperaz gainera, beharko ditugu guraizeak, kola, koloretako zuntzak, zulatzeko aliketak eta haria (etxea zintzilikatzeko).
