Gingerbread is an orange, wise cat. He likes to explore the neighborhood. He is always ready for a quick walk outside, no matter the weather. He knows all his neighbors: people and pets. And who lives where, who goes to what shop on the street, who visits whom. You could say Ginger knows everyone’s routine and is very curious when something new happens in his area. Gingerbread is used to take his trips not on the ground, but, like pigeons, he can watch you through the window, in your apartment, even if you live on the first or second floor. Ginger knows how to jump from one balcony to another, from one windowsill to the next. He is a very acrobatic cat.

In cities, there are many people who live close to each other in buildings with lots of apartments. On the ground floor, there are shops and offices where people go to buy things or to work. The windows there are bigger, to show better what is inside.

You could make an interesting expedition for Gingerbread in your neighborhood: show him people, pets and objects in the windows. Tell Ginger the secrets of each apartment and show him who lives where. Humans and their pets go to the window to check the weather, to see what is going on outside. They are so different from each other. Every apartment is a little world in itself.

After one first visit, try to confuse Gingerbread by changing the strips with people and pets like if they are visiting each other, so that he has to recognize who is who…

Goals: Children will better understand the concept of collective housing – apartment buildings in the city where there are high densities of people and not everyone can live in an individual dwelling. Children will learn how to scale, adapting the dimension of the person that of the window (to check if it fits or not in the frame). Hence, they learn about proportions and scale of the building. By inventing characters in the windows, children see the diversity of the inhabitants, people and pets, as well as of the objects placed in the windows. Distinguishing between the different sizes and functions of the spaces in the building, they will better understand the difference between family space and public uses space.

Materials: A4 paper (thicker, approx. 200g), white or printed with provided façades

Turul lui Turtă Dulce prin cartier

Turtă dulce este un motan portocaliu, înţelept. Lui Turtă Dulce îi place să exploreze cartierul. El este întotdeauna gata pentru o scurtă plimbare în oraş, indiferent de vreme. El cunoaşte toţi vecinii: oameni şi animale de companie. Şi cine locuieşte unde, cine merge la ce magazin de pe stradă, cine vizitează pe cine. Ai putea spune că Turtă Dulce ştie obiceiurile tuturor şi este foarte curios atunci când se întâmplă ceva nou în zona sa. Turtă Dulce este obişnuit să îşi facă plimbările nu pe pământ, dar, la fel ca porumbeii, el te poate urmări prin fereastră, în apartamentul tău, chiar dacă locuieşti la primul sau la al doilea etaj. Turtă Dulce ştie cum să sară de la un balcon la altul, de pe un pervaz pe altul. El este o pisică foarte acrobatică.

În oraşe există mulţi oameni care trăiesc aproape unul de altul, în clădiri cu o mulţime de apartamente. La parter se află magazine şi birouri unde oamenii merg să cumpere lucruri sau să lucreze. Ferestrele sunt deseori mai mari la parter, pentru a vedea mai bine ceea ce este în interior.

Ai putea face o expediţie interesantă pentru Turtă Dulce prin cartierul tău: arată-i oameni, animale de companie şi obiecte în ferestre. Spune-i lui Turtă Dulce secretele fiecărui apartament şi arată-i cine trăieşte unde. Oamenii şi animalele lor merg la fereastră pentru a verifica starea vremii, pentru a vedea ce se întâmplă afară. Ei sunt atât de diferiţi unul de celălalt. Fiecare apartament este o mică lume în sine.

Dupa o primă vizită, încearcă să îl derutezi pe Turtă Dulce schimbând benzile cu oameni şi animale de companie de la un etaj la altul, ca şi cum aceştia ar fi în vizită unul la altul, astfel încât el trebuie să recunoască cine este cine…

Obiective: Copiii vor înţelege mai bine conceptul de locuire colectivă – clădiri de apartamente în oraş unde sunt densităţi mari de locuitori şi nu toţi pot avea o locuinţă individuală pe parcelă. Vor învăţa cum să adapteze dimensiunea persoanei la dimensiunea ferestrei astfel încât vor învăţa şi despre scara apartamentelor raportată la dimensiunile oamenilor. Inventând personaje care stau la ferestre, copiii vor vedea diversitatea locuitorilor, oameni şi animale de companie, dar şi a obiectelor care apar în ferestre şi vitrine. Făcând diferenţa între dimensiuni şi utilizarea spaţiilor de la parterul clădirii şi, respectiv, cele de la etaje, copiii înţeleg mai bine diferenţa între spaţiul familiei şi cel pentru funcţiuni cu public.

El paseo de Gingerbread por el barrio

Gingerbread es un gato naranja y sabio. Le gusta explorar el vecindario. Siempre está listo para una caminata rápida, sin importar el clima. Conoce a todos los vecinos: personas y animales. Y dónde vive cada uno, quién va a cada tienda de la calle, quién visita a quién. Podríamos decir que Ginger conoce las rutinas y es muy curioso cuando algo nuevo sucede en la zona. Gingerbread no suele hacer sus paseos desde el suelo, sino como las palomas, él puede verte a través de la ventana, en tu apartamento, incluso si vives en el segundo piso. Ginger sabe cómo saltar de un balcón a otro, de un alféizar al siguiente. Es un gato muy acrobático.

En las ciudades, hay mucha gente que vive cerca unos de otros en edificios con muchos apartamentos. En el nivel de la calle, hay tiendas y oficinas donde la gente va a comprar cosas o a trabajar. Las ventanas son más grandes para ver mejor lo que hay dentro.

Ahora, podrías crear una expedición interesante para Gingerbread por tu vecindario: enseñarle la gente, animales y objetos en las ventanas. Dile a Ginger los secretos de cada apartamento y muéstrale quién vive en cada uno. Los humanos y sus mascotas se asoman a las ventanas para comprobar el tiempo, para ver qué pasa fuera. Cada uno es muy diferente al otro. Cada apartamento es un pequeño mundo en sí mismo.

Después de una primera visita, intenta confundir a Ginger cambiando las tiras con gente y animales como si estuvieran visitándose entre ellos, así Ginger tendrá que reconocer quién es quién…

Objetivos: Los niños entenderán mejor el concepto de vivienda colectiva: edificios de apartamentos en la ciudad donde hay alta densidad de habitantes y no todos pueden vivir en viviendas individuales. Los niños aprenderán a usar la escala, adaptando la dimensión de la persona a la ventana (comprobando si encaja o no en el marco). Por lo tanto, los niños aprenden sobre las proporciones y la escala del edificio. Inventando personajes para las ventanas, los niños ven la diversidad de los habitantes, personas y animales, así como de los objetos situados en las ventanas. Distinguiendo entre las diferentes medidas y funciones de los espacios del edificio, entenderán la diferencia entre un espacio familiar y los espacios de uso público.

Materiales: Hojas de papel A4 (gramaje 200 g/m2 aprox), blanco o impreso con fachadas

Gingerbread-en ibilaldia auzoan barrena

Gingerbread katu laranja eta jakintsu bat da. Auzoa esploratzea gustatzen zaio. Beti dago paseotxo azkar bat egiteko prest, eguraldia edozein dela ere.
