Long distance call

Now that occasionally we have to stay isolated at home, we are going to find the way to send greetings to our friends in the manner of Cupid, shooting arrows loaded with love.

Materials needed: A4 paper, scissors, tape and a mop tube or similar.

The first thing we do is to create pointed paper cones. Starting from an A4 of paper, we create long strips, folding and cutting with our hands or with the help of scissors. To create a long cone, we first hold one corner of the strip with the hand clamp, and wrap the entire strip around the point, using the diagonally opposite corner of the paper.

Without letting go of the paper, we stretch the strip by turning at the same time that we separate one hand from the other. Once the tip is sharpened, we use a piece of tape to fix the shape. And we will repeat the process several times, to get as many darts as we want to get.

Remember that the back part of the arrows will have to pass tight through the hole of the blowgun that we improvise with some mop tube that we could find.

So, once adjusted to size with our scissors, we can write nice messages on our darts. We will draw many hearts to encourage our friends.

Now that the materials are ready, we look for a suitable position to shoot.

The system is prepared to be able to traverse long distances with great precision. So, be careful not to hurt anyone, aiming at your target when there are no people in front of you, and never ever aim at anyone directly!

Finally, to create a perfect parabolic shot it is important to aim at the target by lifting the tube slightly above the target and blowing out all the air at once.

Llamada de larga distancia

Ahora que de vez en cuando nos toca quedarnos aislados en casa, vamos a buscar la manera de enviar saludos a nuestros amigos a la manera de Cupido, disparando flechas cargadas de amor.

Materiales necesarios: papel A4, tijeras, cinta adhesiva y un tubo de escoba o similar.

Lo primero que haremos es crear conos de papel puntiagudos. Partiendo de un A4 de papel, crearemos tiras largas, doblando y cortando con las manos o con la ayuda de unas tijeras. Para hacer un cono largo, primero sujetaremos una esquina de la tira con la mano como pinza y envolvemos toda la tira alrededor de la punta, usando la esquina diagonalmente opuesta del papel.

Sin soltar el papel, estiraremos la tira girando al mismo tiempo que separamos una mano de la otra. Una vez afilada la punta, utilizamos un trozo de cinta adhesiva para fijar la forma. Y repetiremos el proceso varias veces, hasta conseguir tantos dardos como queramos conseguir.

Recordad que la parte trasera de las flechas tiene que pasar bien por el agujero de la cerbatana que improvisamos con algún tubo de escoba que podamos encontrar.

Así, una vez ajustados al tamaño con nuestras tijeras, podremos escribir bonitos mensajes en nuestros dardos. Dibujaremos muchos corazones para animar a nuestros amigos.

Ahora que los materiales están listos, buscamos una posición adecuada para disparar.

El sistema está diseñado para poder recorrer largas distancias con gran precisión. Por lo tanto, ten cuidado de no lastimar a nadie, apunta a tu objetivo cuando no haya personas frente tuyo, ¡y nunca apuntes a nadie directamente!

Finalmente, para crear un disparo parabólico perfecto, es importante apuntar al objetivo levantando el tubo ligeramente por encima del objetivo y expulsando todo el aire a la vez.
